Below you will find a list of resources aimed specifically for parents. Take some time to look around and see what I have found. I hope they are as helpful to you as they are for me!
Class Dojo- This is a behavior management tool that I use in the classroom and the kids love it! While in the room the students cannot see when points are awarded or removed, however they can hear the chimes and can tell when I have recognized when someone needs some redirection or when I recognize when students are on the right track. It helps teach the students how to self monitor, and on top of it all they get to create their own monster, check their progress throughout the week, and you can too!
Teach a Child to Read-Are you wanting to help your little one grow as a reader but not sure how to begin? Take a look at the resources found here and maybe you can find a few tips or tools that can help you and your child spend some quality time in the books.
Scholastic-Throughout the year you will be given book orders which can be a great way to build your home library in an inexpensive fashion. Books make great birthday and Christmas gifts as well as rewards for positive behavior! However, in addition to being great for book orders, this website has great information about your child's development, tips for school, and activities for you to try.
Book It!-The book it website has some great activities and resources for you to use at home to reinforce great reading habits in your child(ren)! Take a few minutes to check it out!
